ShortPixel Review

In this ShortPixel review we’ll review the ShortPixel plugin for WordPress. ShortPixel allows us to have optimized images. The plugin compresses images, which in turn improves our website speeds. In this review I’ll be covering why it’s a great plugin to use as well as many important details.

ShortPixel Review

ShortPixel Compression Types

ShortPixel has three compression types for reducing the overall size of the images on your website. The three compression types are lossy, glossy, and lossless compression. On their website ShortPixel states that lossy is best for most users. This is because they reduce the file size as much as possible while still maintaining the quality of the image. Because of this you get good quality images that are highly optimized. This setting is what I’d personally recommend, and use on my own websites.

ShortPixel Dashboard

Something that I like a lot about Shortpixel is their dashboard when you’re logged in. They provide a number of great options that help you stay on track when optimizing your website images. They even make it easy to setup client websites if you’re a developer managing multiple sites.

ShortPixel Support

ShortPixel support is something that I haven’t had to deal with much, but when I have it’s been solid. Within your account it’s easy to reach out to their support team. Additionally, there are YouTube tutorials out there worth taking a look at if needed.

ShortPixel Pricing

ShortPixel pricing is broken up into several options, thus meeting the needs of any user. The plans range from free plans all the way up to plans with 55,000 optimized images per month. Below is a breakdown of the prices and amount of images that they come with.

ShortPixel Review : Conclusion

I hope that this ShortPixel review was helpful. As someone who has been a ShortPixel user for quite some time now I’m happy to say that it works great for almost anyone’s needs. I wouldn’t recommend any other image optimizer out there.
